Have a quick look at similarly priced monitors and lcd tv's and you will see they aren't in the same resolution ranges at all. i've got an older dell at uni that does lag a little for gaming, this is a very much higher spec screen i've ordered so will see how it does. I ordered the dell E207 today, should have it in the morning as this monitor(old crt but llyama 100Hz 1600x1200 and very decent for a crt) is very much on its way out. they are designed for diff purposes and its always better to get a computer designed monitor and use it for tv aswell than the other way around.įor instance a 20" lcd monitor 1680x1050 resolution, not 1080p high def res but high enough for 720p.
